I have tried AC, Helium, Constant Content, and Textbroker.
A quick rundown in 2 months at Helium I made aprox 140 but that was due to competeting in very stiff contests and a total crapshoot for reliable income.
AC I make aprox 50 easy a month last two months, however, that is growing as I'm growing on the site and making friends.
EHoW I have made a whopping 8.00 in two months with.
Textbroker I have earned 40.00 in less than a week of effort...
now that is time at sites...consider I have given Helium the most hours worked because I always wind up doing extensive research for contests or marketplace entries.
AC medium amount of hours worked...depends if I transfer over titles from Helium or do fresh C4C.
Ehow articles I can type out one of those in less than five minutes with 15 articles currently posted.
Textbroker - even for the titles requiring some research I can type out one of those in less than 15 minutes normally. Which means for the least amount of effort, Textbroker is the highest earner IF you are just starting out with content writing.
I still have an app in with About and Demand Studio's to give them a whirl. Busika didn't impress me much so I never posted anything after opening an account.....just my two cents on the comparison earnings..However, with AC my articles will generate monthly revenue over and over if I never publish anything else. Textbroker material is DEAD after it's accepted by publishers. So the 3 or 4 it makes is IT. Most of the content is so specific I don't see a market for those articles elsewhere anyway.

Hey, I'm really glad you are back and I want to read how you've established yourself as a freelancer. Getting paid has always been a problem for us.
By the way, I've included "Adventures in Freelancing" in my blogroll and I hope you continue to receive lots of traffic even though EntreCard is going to be gone from our sites.

I have been writing for Textbroker for about 3-4 months and let me tell you, if you can say anything about a certain topic, you are good to go.

I was classed at a level 3 when I started. As long as you take on a few assignments a day it does start to add up.

At first I felt demoralized at the fact that I would only earn .01 or what ever a word. Then I got to thinking about it. It's better than nothing. Publishers are so darn picky, its not even funny, people with real estate companies, need someone to add a touch of class to their sites. Okay, so I write some descriptions, make a couple of dollars. Can't complain its money that I didn't have before.

Right now, given the economy, count yourself lucky that you are getting paid for something. Who knows what will happen later on.

Thank you all so much! I really hope you enjoy it. I don't have much money now, but be sure to suggest some articles playing on your strengths and where you are in your careers. The style is loose and experimental :)

It really is a great site--you've clearly spent a lot of time on gathering content and making it easy to use and professional. I hope to be contributing sometime soon as a newbie travel writer!

I like your new site and I can understand why you want more control than you get here at today.com - but I'd suggest that you do still add a post here ocaisionally - it will be a good funnel to get people to your new site and a link is always useful!
