Demand Studios- another site that pays writers!

Published by yolander at 3:27 pm under Business advice, Sites that publish Edit This

In honor of Labor Day, let’s leave the emotional, motivational bullhockey and get back to sites that pay writers to do what they do best- write!

One of the easiest , better paying sites that pays you to write articles is Demand Studios. They have several different websites that buy from them. Most of the articles are, “How to” articles that get published on Ehow.com.

Demand Studios generally asks for a 400 word, “How to” article on a topic. They have hundreds of titles to choose from, or you can come up with your own and see if they approve it. They have also recently added Fact Sheets, How Does, and About article options.

Demand Studios pays writers $15 per article, and you have a queue in which you can keep all the articles you have chosen to write.

You will need a resume and writing sample to become a writer with Demand Studios and approval to become a writer is usually pretty quick. They pay to your paypal account every week and you can write a large number of articles each week. The Demand Studios editors are often backed up, so it may take a while for your article to be approved.

So, hop to it friends, start paying off those credit cards!

That’s funny! Exactly what I’m using my Demand money for…paying off debt!

    (and occasional, inappropriate shoe shopping)

Inappropriate shoe shopping is definitely more important (but don’t tell Hubby I said so)! Have you seen the couture line at Zappos??? Whooo!

A question I have had for a while about Demand Studios is, how strict are they when approving new writers? and does a simple resume and sample zips sent suffice? Or should I have links, to maybe a site like associated content? or a blog?

    Any thoughts on this, anyone?

    Hi Jazmin,

You will need to upload your resume. You can upload samples of your work or give them links. They are strict in the sense that the quality and accuracy must be there. Also, it is fine to give them a link to work you have on AC or Helium.

    Best of luck!

I tried to click demandstudios link from your blog and it says requested URL not found. Is it still operating now? Thanks

Hey Shirley- Demand is still operating, looks like this is a blog issue. www.demandstudios.com should get you there!

    Hi!

I was approved a couple of days ago and just began writing. They seem to have a lot of titles to choose from. I’ll keep you posted.

Congrats Aunice and good luck! Let me know if you can be the person who finally writes the, “How to Become an Actress in Guadalajara” article :))

Just FYI for those writers who have not written for them before, they recently changed what they pay. As it stands now they will only pay $5.00 per article for any user suggested article. You can still get $15.00 an article for articles they suggest, but none of the ones they suggest (at least that I saw after going through each section) are really possible for the average freelance writer to complete. Rather than going into too much detail in a comment, if you want to know more including exactly what the e-mails said that Demand Studios sent out regarding the cut in pay, you can check out my blog http://www.reginapaulwrites.blogspot.com There are several disgruntled Demand Studios writers right now, myself included.

This is true, and I plan to address this in a post this week. They are saying they have a scale for the suggested articles, but I have yet to see anyone approved for more than $5. Guess I better get a move on with those rectal bleeding articles they keep asking us to write :))
