Associated Content- get paid per article!

Published by yolander at 1:01 pm under Resume' advice, Sites that publish Edit This

The next site in our search for freelancing success is Associated Content. Associated Content is a news and current events site that features articles written by members. Much like Helium, you do not need to be approved to join and begin writing. Unlike Helium, when you write on Associated Content, your work needs to be approved by an editor before you will get published and paid. In this Blog edition, let’s discuss submitting your existing work to Associated Content.

The first step is to go to Associated Content and look at the existing articles and categories. Do you have anything already written that would fit in? If so, make appropriate edits to it and submit it. Look at the other titles in that category- how are the highly rated articles written? Is there anything you can learn from this? When you are ready to submit an article, you will be asked how you want to be paid. I always choose upfront exclusive because I get paid a few dollars upfront, and continue to make residuals on page views. If you already have your article published elsewhere, you’ll need to choose the appropriate pay schedule.

It takes the Editors about a week to revise and approve your article. If it is accepted, your payment will be paypalled the day you are published!
